Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and Parts For Life LLC(“Astralyn,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Texas limited liability company, governing your use of the Astralyn mobile and web application, any related websites including astralyn.app, and any features, content, or services we provide (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Astralyn, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have legal capacity to enter into these Terms. The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18.

3. Nature of the Service

Astralyn provides AI-generated reflections that use astrological symbolism as a starting point, based on data you provide (primarily your birth date, time, place, and chat input). The Service is a reflective tool intended to help you think about yourself, your patterns, and your relationships.

Not professional advice

The Service is not:

Medical or mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
A substitute for licensed professionals in any regulated field.
A predictive service. We do not claim to foresee future events.
Emergency support. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline.

AI limitations

The Service uses artificial intelligence. Outputs may be:

Inaccurate
Incomplete
Inconsistent
Misleading

You agree not to rely on the Service for important decisions and to use your own judgment and, where appropriate, qualified professional advice.

4. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

Your use of the Service.
Any decisions or actions you take based on Service outputs.
The accuracy of the data you provide, including birth information and chat content.
Complying with applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

Use of the Service is at your own risk.

5. Accounts

You create an account using a magic-link email, a Google account, or an Apple account. You agree to:

Provide accurate information.
Keep your account credentials secure.
Not share, transfer, or sell your account.
Not create multiple accounts to bypass tier limits, free-trial abuse controls, or suspensions.
Promptly notify us at support@astralyn.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts at our reasonable discretion.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

6.1 Tiers

Free (Explorer): basic natal chart, daily insight, limited AI chat.
Personal: unlimited AI chat, in-depth chart reflection, synastry, transits, chat history.
Deep Insight: everything in Personal, plus priority responses, extended context, a higher daily token budget, and access to our most capable AI model.

Current pricing, billing periods, and features are shown on the paywall screen inside Astralyn before you subscribe.

6.2 Payment provider

Subscriptions are processed via:

Apple App Store (on iOS)
Google Play (on Android)

Your billing relationship for the subscription is with the relevant app store, and the store’s terms govern payment mechanics.

6.3 Auto-renewal

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

6.4 Cancellation

You must cancel through your store account:

Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
Apple: Settings → [Your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad.

If you cancel, you keep paid access until the end of the current billing period, then your account returns to the free tier.

6.5 Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their respective policies. We cannot directly refund store charges. For support, email support@astralyn.app.

6.6 Pricing changes

We may change pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change means you accept the new pricing.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not:

Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
Abuse, exploit, or misuse the Service.
Generate content that is hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit involving minors, or otherwise prohibited by the Google Play and Apple App Store policies.
Attempt to jailbreak, prompt-inject, reverse-engineer, or otherwise extract the underlying models, prompts, or system instructions.
Scrape, crawl, or mass-download Service content or other users’ data.
Build or enable a competing product using our outputs or API responses.
Overload, disrupt, or otherwise interfere with the Service’s infrastructure.
Resell, rent, lease, or sublicense access to the Service without our prior written consent.

We may monitor and enforce compliance at our reasonable discretion.

8. User Content

“User Content” means anything you submit through the Service, including birth data, chat messages, and any other information you provide. You retain all rights you have in your User Content.

To operate the Service, you grant Parts For Life LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, reproduce, and display your User Content for the limited purpose of providing the Service to you.

We do not sell your personal data.

We do not train third-party AI models on your personal conversations without your explicit consent.

9. Intellectual Property

The Astralyn name, logo, interface, branding, written descriptions, chart visualizations, prompts, and all other original material created by us are owned by Parts For Life LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial reflection. Brief quotation or sharing of AI outputs (for example, on social media or in a journal) is permitted as long as you do not misrepresent those outputs as professional advice.

10. Third-Party Services

Astralyn is built on third-party infrastructure (authentication, databases, AI models, analytics, crash reporting, subscription management, email). A full list of subprocessors is in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party performance or downtime, but we will make reasonable efforts to keep the Service running.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee:

Accuracy of interpretations or AI outputs.
Availability, uptime, or uninterrupted operation.
Reliability or error-free performance.
Security against every possible threat.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PARTS FOR LIFE LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages.
Lost profits or revenue.
Data loss or corruption.
Emotional distress.
Loss of goodwill or other intangibles.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those places, the above limitations apply only to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Parts For Life LLC harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:

Your use of the Service.
Your violation of these Terms.
Your violation of applicable law or any third-party right.
Your User Content.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) or by emailing privacy@astralyn.app.

We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created a risk or legal exposure for us, or if we stop offering the Service in your region. Upon termination, the rights granted to you end, but any sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, arbitration) continue to apply.

15. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failures or delays in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including:

Internet or cloud infrastructure outages.
Third-party service provider failures.
Government actions, sanctions, or export restrictions.
Natural disasters, pandemics, or public health emergencies.
Strikes, civil unrest, or acts of war or terrorism.

16. Data Retention

We retain your data only as necessary to:

Provide and improve the Service.
Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
Prevent abuse and enforce these Terms.

Specific retention periods, deletion procedures, and your rights are detailed in our Privacy Policy. You can request full deletion at any time at privacy@astralyn.app.

17. Beta Features

From time to time we may offer experimental, preview, or beta features that are explicitly labeled as such. Beta features:

May change, break, or disappear without notice.
Are provided “as-is” with no warranty of any kind.
May be subject to additional terms presented at the time of enrollment.

Your feedback on beta features may be used to improve the product.

18. Export Compliance

You agree not to use, export, re-export, or transfer the Service in violation of United States export control and sanctions laws, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and regulations administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). You represent that you are not located in, and are not a national or resident of, any country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, and that you are not on any U.S. government restricted-party list.

19. Dispute Resolution — Binding Arbitration

READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT REQUIRES YOU TO ARBITRATE DISPUTES WITH PARTS FOR LIFE LLC ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND LIMITS THE WAY YOU CAN SEEK RELIEF.

19.1 Informal resolution first

Before initiating arbitration, you agree to first contact us at support@astralyn.app with a written description of the dispute. We will attempt to resolve the matter informally within 30 days.

19.2 Binding arbitration

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that is not resolved informally will be resolved by final and binding arbitration, not by court trial, except where prohibited by applicable law.

Rules: the Consumer Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA).
Location: Dallas, Texas, United States (or remote by agreement).
Scope: individual basis only.

19.3 Class action waiver and jury trial waiver

You and Parts For Life LLC each waive any right to:

A jury trial.
Participate as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative action.

The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims and may not otherwise preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.

19.4 Exceptions

This arbitration agreement does not apply to:

Small-claims-court actions, if they qualify.
Injunctive or other equitable relief to protect intellectual property or stop unauthorized use of the Service.
Any claim that cannot be arbitrated under applicable law.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. For any matter not subject to arbitration, the exclusive venue is the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

21. Apple App Store Additional Terms

If you use Astralyn on an Apple device, you also acknowledge:

These Terms are between you and Parts For Life LLC only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the Service.
In the event of any failure of the Service to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the applicable purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the Service.
Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and has the right (deemed accepted) to enforce them against you.

22. Miscellaneous

Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
Severability: if any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in full force.
No waiver: our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Notices: we may give notice through the app, by email to the address on your account, or by posting on astralyn.app.
Changes to these Terms: we will post updated Terms on this page and, where reasonably practical, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance.
